The Girls Golf Rocks program, supported by Sky Sports, is part of the national campaign to get more people playing golf and aims to introduce girls of all ages between 5 and 18 to the game.
In 2016, 2017 and 2018 Broadstone Golf Club were part of the successful campaign covering Dorset. A taster session was held in April and most of the the girls attending continued the program and joined me for a 5-week coaching course.
I’m pleased to have been invited to run the program again in 2019 which will consist of a taster session on 11th May from 2pm – 4pm and will be followed by a 5-week coaching course (dates to be advised).
If you, or anyone you know, missed out on any of the previous programs and would still like to learn how to play golf golf I can still help you to get involved in golf, either individually or as part of our ongoing group sessions held throughout the year. Just get in touch to #getintogolf
Taster sessions are held so that total beginners can get together in a very relaxed environment and play fun golf games. You don’t need to worry about what to wear, just bring comfy clothing and trainers.
If you enjoy the taster session and want to learn more you can sign up for one of the coaching groups that I will be running which comprises of five, weekly, one hour sessions.
Inspired by Sport England’s campaign #ThisGirlCan, the #ThisGirlGolfs campaign is designed to break down some of the barriers and perceptions of who can play this wonderful game of golf, who can afford it and how we can make it accessible to everyone.
As a PGA Professional part of my involvement is to help spread the word and to inspire ladies and girls to try some of the taster sessions described on this page.
